Families for Russian and Ukrainian Adoption is pleased to provide this chat room service to it's members and any one else interested in adoption and adoption related issues.

1. Please refrain from :

• Foul language & accronyns for foul words/language
• Abusive or insulting messages are absolutely not allowed. All participants, and their opinions, must be treated with respect.
• The use of foul language in non-insulting or non-abusive postings will not be allowed.
• Attacks on individual people, agencies, or organizations
  (A fair and ballanced posting of a negative expierence with an agency, group, or individual is not considered an attack)
• Verbally attacking people, agencies or organizations because of their religious believes, race, reasons for adopting, choice of country to adopt from, or opinions will not be allowed.
• Attacking people who hold opposing views
• Calling people names either explicitly or implicitly.
• Calling someone a troll or implying they are a troll.
• Advertising or solicitations, including listing personal items for sale
  (if you would like to post a solicitation, then feel free to contact vicechair@frua.org for approval)
• Encouraging participants to support other organizations or visit their web sites
  (Recommendations from individuals who are not employees, owners, board members, participating members, or principals of the organization are allowed when in response to questions asked)
• Promoting, advertising and soliciting participation and/or membership in e-lists, Yahoo groups and other forms of internet or online support groups, or non FRUA gatherings - both formal and informal.
  (Recommendations from individuals who are not list owners, administrators, or a moderator of the e-list are allowed when in response to questions asked)
• Advertising non FRUA fundraisers
• Advertising items for sale, personal items realted to adoption, items for sale to fund adoptions, and/or other commercial sales.

• Advertising events, activities and groups that compete with FRUA activities
  (if you would like to post a fundraiser, then feel free to contact vicechair@frua.org for approval)
• Meetings designed to solicit new clients or business for adoption agencies or other businesses
• Advertising children available for adoption, including hosting programs
  (This will not be allowed under any circumstances.)
• Posts that are off topic
  (Refer to the opening paragraphs to this document.)
  

2. Cyber-bullying will not be allowed in any situation and will result in immediate account removal.  This includes leaving messages on the board as well as in private emails to board users.  If you are the victim of private email cyber bullying then forward that email to the chat board admin.

Cyber-bullying is defined as, but not limited to,  the use of information and communication technologies to support deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior by an individual or group, that is intended to harm others, messages intended to hurt or embarrass another person, threats, name calling, sexual remarks, pejorative labels, ridicule, statements aimed at humiliation.

3. All messages should include the author's name and e-mail address. We do respect peoples rights to anonymity, but stating your name and/or e-mail address adds credibility to what you have to say.  If you need to preserve anonymity one of the FRUA board members will be glad to assist you.  Just send an e-mail to vicechair@frua.org.

4. Please only post pictures to the Family Photo Album section and limit to one or two photos per thread. Remember some users of this board are still on dial up internet service. If you need to post a picture in a different topic in order to illistrate a point then feel free to do so.

5. Employees of agencies and other organizations, groups, and business that work with the adoption community, adoptive parents, etc. need to identify who they are and their affiliation with that group.

6. The "Subject" line should reflect the content of the message. If you change the subject of a thread, start it as a new subject not a reply.

7. Do not be offended by what others may post. Most of the time the person did not intend to be offensive. However, do feel free to directly e-mail the poster to get clarification, but please don't air it out to the whole list.

8. Postings that are either off topic or posted in the wrong topic area are subject to removal.

Come in, sit down and relax. We are here for your support and input. Feel free to express yourself but please refrain from bickering.

Discussion threads that seem to run their course or have not had any messages posted in over 45days will be removed due to space limitations.
